#52 - Reflections born through one year of writing The Hue-Man Experience
Someone once told me, "read when you want to learn, and write when you want to understand."
And so for one year now, we've been writing weekly stories and observations about LIFE with hopes of better understanding the beautiful absurdity of The Hue-Man Experience.
Whether you've been reading along for the entire first year, or if you've only recently subscribed, I often wonder what perspective you gain by sharing these ideas with me each week. I wonder if you've used any of them to transform something old into something new?
But since I understand perspective is what gives meaning to words, I trust with my whole heart that whoever carves a few minutes out of each week to read this work will get exactly what they need from it. Even if the message received differs from what was sent.
After one year of writing, I can feel how my own perspective has evolved. I can remember how scary it felt to let go of all those pieces of myself, and I am grateful writing T.H.E. has not always been an easy journey.
Some of these weekly pieces were more challenging to articulate than others, yet the essence of each of them is the same. And in Year 2 we will continue to evolve how we tell the only story that matters.
T.H.E. Top 3
Below are the 3 most important realizations in my own life born from this work during Year 1. These are the ideas which most transformed my view of myself in indescribable ways this year once I put them into action.
1. Forgiveness
Emotional weight creates drag on your mind. It eats up your creative bandwidth and slows your growth process down.
If you figure out how to forgive yourself for whatever you allowed to drag down your Spirit, freedom will return to your being and you will fly.
Practice forgiveness of others to break the Chain of Hurt, and what happens next in your life will leave you speechless.
Your Daily Practice teaches you how to build momentum in your life.
Showing up for yourself in at least one way every day, even when you don't want to, teaches you the confidence to act through uncertainty.
Every single small investment you make in yourself, every moment you choose to do what you know is right for you, you consciously build your character.
It takes many small actions to inspire bigger ones.
3. Have Fun and Remember to PLAY
Through your daily practice you build momentum not only in your physical life, but in your Spirit as well.
If you can imagine the YOU-niverse as one body of life, then you have imagined your Greater Being. This makes you a living body part of that Greater Being. Don't you think YOU would want the best experience of LIFE possible for YOU?
Through practice, your work becomes play. And the magic you want in your life is created during playtime.
Some thoughts about the New Year.
Mother Nature moves LIFE in Cycles.
A second turns to a day. A day turns to a year. And a year turns to a lifetime, in what feels like the blink of an eye.
And since each lifetime is based in movement, it is important to free yourself from any traps you get caught in which restrict your flow into the next cycle.
You, me, and the rest of us... we are meant to be free. And in our hearts we know what feels natural and what does not.
LIFE is something of a "Choose Your Own Salvation" type game. You live in a Mental Universe within a physical sliver of a Divinely Psychedelic Hologram, and your freedom is for you to claim by choice alone.
We just started a new cycle together, where the daily decisions we make in our individual lives will further evolve our species as a whole when combined with those of the collective.
As you live the first week of the New Year, ask yourself if the way you're starting this cycle is in line with your goals.
Are you already building momentum through your daily practice, checking off items from your Do List this year? Or are you already pushing certain things to “tomorrow”?
Will you challenge yourself in a way that scared you before, knowing what you want is on the other side of the experience?
However you decide to propel yourself forward this year, remember one thing as you work…
Man's laws are meant to evolve.
Nature's laws are constant teachers.
Live well, my beautiful friends. Let's make this the best year of our life.
I'll be back in your inbox next week, and I am excited to continue the evolution of this project with you along for the ride.
A humble ask:
Would you please share this post with someone who you think would appreciate it?
Don’t just go blasting it out to everyone on facebook… I ask you to pick only one person… the right person who you feel would resonate.
Thank you 🤠👌
