I had not heard of Kintsugi before reading your article. I do believe that sometimes any of us could use a complete do-over, or return to go, and start again. But many other times, when a few good tweaks are needed then Kintsugi would be a strong method of making something great, even greater. I googled, and the definition was "to repair with gold". What a wonderful concept.

Another Wednesday waking up to the gentle waves of your knowledge and compassion. It is truly a wonderful experience hearing you speak. I’m glad the unknowable force of all continues to move you 🙌

As you know, brother, I’ve processed/unified/piece-mailed my way to my current version/awareness of self. The practice you offered today resonates with me and aligns with my methods of “kintsugi.”

For awhile, after making a long time out of trusting the voice of my highest, whole-est self, I began practicing just as you laid out. I called that pristine version of me, the loving parent, and it came in to speak with, embrace and rally the lost, scrambled versions of my fragmented self.

Personally, my kintsugi of self shines with more gold than ceramic from my repairs over the years 🤕

One thing I’d like to mention to your readers/listeners is that we are craftspeople of self, yes, but we’re also the child within that freely plays and never works. That child can interpret the fragmented landscape of self with such rich, fantastical detail.

Don’t be afraid of letting in the magic of that child to relay information in whatever imaginative form that comes. Connecting to my fragments through the excited and curious lens of my inner child made my process blossom into a fantasy story that felt more real and vibrant than anything I’ve ever read or physically experienced.

There’s a treasure trove of characters, adventures, relationships within you that want nothing more than for YOU to uncover and perceive with the mind’s eye and feel with the rhythm of heart. Jump into the wonderland that is you and kintsugi your way to liberation and wholeness!
