“The Tao that can be told
is not the eternal Tao
The name that can be named
is not the eternal Name. The unnamable is the eternally real.
Naming is the origin
of all particular things.Free from desire, you realize the mystery.
Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations.Yet mystery and manifestations
arise from the same source.
This source is called darkness.Darkness within darkness.
The gateway to all understanding.”
—Tao Te Ching, Chapter 1 ~ Stephen Mitchell Translation
Consciousness is the Spirit of Life. And every living entity is animated by it in order to gain experience which matters.
It's easy to forget the Earth is a body of life. And not only is She a living organism, but a gracious host of other living organisms as well, just like your body is.
You and I run around on her back using natural and man-made resources to live, but many modern individuals have come to take the Earth's precious gifts for granted.
Hue-Mans are the only species on Earth who view themselves as separate from Nature. And at this point in our evolution, why wouldn't we?
Our self-imposed separation has been engrained in our minds since birth, and in our parents and grandparents before we were conceived.
The Hue-Man Touch
The first house ever built would be about 1.8 million years old today.
The first Meat Packing business was formed in 1692
The first American made gas powered vehicle was sold in 1896.
The White House first had plumbing installed on the first level in 1833.
Refrigerators have been available for home use since 1913.
The internet was invented in 1983. Modern phones, homes, and office buildings all over the world are now constantly connected and communicating.
Our Ancestors did not have the same comforts we have these days. Their lives were more directly in tune with the Governing Forces of Nature, and how they lived evolved with the seasons.
While modern comforts serve to make your life easier in ways, they also inspire a sense of forgetfulness. Your Ancestors were more deeply connected to the Spirit of Life which moves Nature’s hands because they were more constantly affected by her action.
They rode horses from town to town to gather supplies and spread news without enclosing themselves from the land around them as they traveled.
Their homes had no running water or electrical power, so they hauled clean water from rivers and made candles when tallow was available.
There was no heating during winter, so they chopped wood all summer long, neatly stacking so it would be dry and ready to burn when needed.
When a caribou or bear was within range, successful shooters ate well. And when the pickings were slim and traps remained empty, they fasted.
Before hue-mans built civilized systems to make our lives easier, our Ancestors had to consciously engage in life doing many things we have forgotten about today.
There is a resounding appreciation for water when you haul it yourself. When you've stared into the dewey eyes of the cow you are eating, you have a deeper gratitude for the meat it provides.
From the essence outward, life feels different when you can order food delivery from a 5 star restaurant without standing up from your couch.
There is a disconnection from the energy of the food which powers your life when you take no part in preparing it.
The average modern day hue-man has forgotten how to spark fire from friction, but can easily tell you everything wrong about other people's opinions of the world.
Survival of the fittest
The focus of our Collective Conscious is fixated in a much different place now compared to where it was in the 1800s. Back then we focused our attention on survival. We milked cows, built with our hands, tilled the land, and traveled to town to trade.
As technology evolved, the game of life evolved with it. With our basic needs for survival covered, we became able to eat without having to work the land and over time pointed our awareness away from Nature and onto each other. And you can see for yourself how that evolved since then.
Without having to actively participate in daily survival, hue-mans got bored and created systems of self-domination. And in the process our Conscious energy evolved to focus on what separates us, rather than what unites us.
But some hue-mans are now in the process of remembering how to hear the Call of the Wild. They've re-tuned themselves through previously forgotten ways of living.
And they are who can see the patterns Nature uses to display her intelligence.
They are the ones who learn to decipher her veiled messages…
