“The prairie skies can always make you see more than what you believe.”
―Jackson Burnett
In a previous article, we established how Pure Consciousness uses matter to create form, and time to enable your living form to gather physical experience.
So, why does Consciousness bother to do this at all? Why does any thing or anyone exist in the first place? Being pure stillness, pure potential, pure untethered loving awareness would be pretty blissful, wouldn't it?
But there would be no action happening at that level of awareness. There would be literally nothing at all. Just a Force of Life without Form to display it.
And with no form there would be no movement. No Events. No Stories. Nothing to learn, to gain, or to lose.
It would be like the blank screen you see a few moments before a movie starts, right after the previews end. The calm stillness which births the action of the film.
You would get bored sitting in a theater for 2 hours, watching a blank screen, wouldn't you? So, perhaps existing solely as Pure Untouchable Awareness got boring too, and Consciousness wanted some action.
It wanted to answer the question, "if this happened in the movie, then what would happen next?"
And in order to do that, it needed a stage to set the movie on. And actors with unique narratives to come together to live the story.
Once in motion, CREATION established a continuous observational feedback loop for Consciousness to test its equation while learning about evolution through the experience of any story imaginable.
LIFE became the ultimate teacher, and Consciousness simultaneously experiences all perceptive angles of the "if this then that" equation to understand the potential of infinity.
OK, but.. seriously, enough with the spaced out hippy talk, right?
How can you actually use this concept we are imagining?
Take me out to the ball game...
Imagine you have a 5 year old child and they are an avid baseball fan, so you decide to take them to their first live game.
The whole drive there your kid talks about nothing except for how they'd like to see their favorite player hit a home run. Their infectious excitement bubbles through the car as their childlike wonder tugs at your sleeves.
Inning 7, your kid's hands tremble as their favorite player steps up to bat. The pitcher throws a fastball right down the pipe, and trusty #11 smashes it out of the park.
The whole stadium goes wild as #11 circles the bases, and your kid is positively losing their mind in the seat next to you. You've never seen them so electric.
For the rest of the day, your child is in THE BEST mood because they just had one of the most anticipated experiences of their whole life and the experience changed them forever.
They just got a thrilling taste of what the action of LIFE is all about, and in the process they consciously felt the alchemy of Anticipation transforming to Realization within them for the first time. And you had a front row seat to the show.
So you buy them a poster of #11 from the stadium gift shop, and a hat to commemorate the special memory you made together.
And every time your kid wears their favorite hat or goes to bed under that poster, they feel again how it felt to watch that home run happen with you.
And the inspiration that memory fills them with could potentially be harnessed to transform them into whatever they want to become in life, no matter how crazy their ideas might sound.
Potential becomes reality through action
Knowing now what happens at the game, let's rewind back to the car ride there.
You're listening to Sonny croon to Cher and your kid is in the back, drunk on potential. They are thinking of nothing except for the home run they would like to see while rambling over your favorite part of the song as you try to find the right exit ramp from the highway.
At that point in time, either team still had potential to win the game, and one could have shut the other out. The home run wasn't a guarantee so there were two potential future realities for you and your kid which simultaneously existed...
Home run happens, and you have a very happy kid.
No home run, and your kid is disappointed for the rest of the day.
There was an infinite sea of potential of what could have happened during that game. Lightning could have struck home plate after the opening pitch. You never really know until you know.
But ultimately you saw how it played out, and you walked away with one happy kid because of that 7th inning slammer.
And in the process you learned more about how to create future fulfillment in your child's life by witnessing the joy the thrill of the game inspired within them.
What doth life?
Life is a series of events which teach its observer about being. And all events are transformational moments where unembodied potential takes form in reality.
In order for the exhilarating home run your kid witnessed to take place at all, there first needs to be an earth to host the game on, baseball needs to exist, and players need to show up to the field, right?
Examine the events in reverse order:
Your kid is now inspired to become a professional baseball player after witnessing their favorite player hit a home run.
But the player could have hit a foul or struck out instead. There was potential they could have been walked.
And before the game took place, both teams were potential winners.
And before both teams arrived there was potential for rain which would have delayed the game.
But yesterday one team almost got stuck in Dallas which would have cancelled the game before the rain was even a factor.
And a looooong time before you were born, the game of baseball had yet to be imagined and kids grunted as they hit rocks with sticks...
Looking at these events in reverse order, you can clearly see the various gateways potential traveled through to eventually become the event which made your kid so happy.
And once the potential of that home run became a reality, it sparked a new fire within the heart of your child which thrust you through a new gate together.
Now you’ll have to answer the question:
"If my child decides they want to be a pro ball player, will I then support them, or will I try to divert their focus elsewhere to something I feel is safer?"
Understanding the flow of Potential
You, like all other 3rd Dimensional forms of life, are continually moving through events where conscious decisions are required. And once your decision is made, the distinct outcome aligned with it materializes.
If you tell your kid playing pro baseball is a pipe dream they will never achieve after they get fired up at that game, you plant seeds of doubt directly into their subconscious mind. This is the sacred garden which sprouts Divine Inspiration and doubt does not naturally grow there.
By stomping on your kid's dream, you cut down the inspiration life naturally grew within them, and replace it with a searing memory which will cause them to question the validity of their future dreams.
You curb their limitless potential based on your own fears of the unknown.
But you could instead choose to support them in whatever they show an interest in, even if you have no experience with it. And by doing this you give them permission to trust and follow the guidance of their intuition for the rest of their life.
They may fall down on whatever path they choose to walk, but with you by their side to support each step, they will always know they are safe to get back up to move forward on the road of LIFE without fear of what lies beyond the horizon.
This week we practice remembering.
Take a few breaths each day to still the action of life within your mind. This will help you remember what it was like to be that child on the way to the baseball game all those years ago. How nothing else in the world mattered except for seeing that home run happen.
What was your first "home run" experience in life? What did it inspire within you, and did you chase that passion down to build a life from its foundation, or move a different way?
This week you will remember you are both the parent and the child at times in life. You make decisions which affect your own potential, and the potential of others.
Looking back in anger at previous decisions that didn’t work out how you wanted them to causes you to stall forward progress. And without action, everything you want in life remains frozen in the form of potential.
Perhaps in order to properly serve the greatest potential of others, you must first be living in a way you are truly proud of. You must be living your own highest potential.
And that requires you to forgive the people who said you couldn't be who you wanted, and yourself for believing them.
And that’s always easier said than done. But absolutely worth doing.
Practicing self-forgiveness,
Ohhhhhh wow, this^ really made me laugh. Enjoy :)
Logic has always been based in emotions, so choose logic that's joyous its really that simple.
Been helping promote a friend’s baseball podcast. A few days ago I posted a picture of Squints from The Sandlot.. with the tag: “What’s your top 5(!) baseball movies?”
The universe is such a trip.
My “home run moment” as a kid, err teenager, was when I beat Final Fantasy 8 on PlayStation. It was the perfect balance of difficulty and emotion. I cried watching the final cutscene. I was as much those characters as they were my friends. The causes and effects that made that moment happen... man, it’s so difficult to explain.
Thank you.
